In 2015, the Aqua Initiative worked with local partners to build and repair tube wells in the Sundarban region of India. The project has provided clean water and hygiene education to hundreds in the area.
In July 2012, CEO and Founder of the Aqua Initiative, Edward Pollock, went on a trip to Ethiopia to visit projects and see the cause first hand. With help from WaterAid Ethiopia and the Ethio Wetlands and Natural Resource Association, Edward visited locations across the country, including the village of Kokosa as seen in these images.
The Aqua Initiative donated funds from World Water Day events in March 2012 to build this well for a school community in Rapogi Kenya. These images and the project is thanks to A Better World – Canada.
The Aqua Initiative funded two full hand pumps for communities in the Jawzjan province of Afghanistan. These pumps were funded from our World Water Day events in Dubai in 2012. The projected were built by A Better World – Canada and we thank them for the images.
The following hand pump was completed in August 2012 using funds from the Aqua Initiative’s World Water Day in March 2012. We contributed to this project in the Nyabisindu region of Rwanda with The Water Project.
