Jawzjan Province Hand Pumps

In 2012, the Aqua Initiative worked together with A Better World Canada to donate the funds from our World Water Day events to construct two wells in Afghanistan. These communities had to collect dirty water for local sources, however, with the support of A Better World and ADRA Afghanistan to build two hand pumps. The hand pump brings clean water to the surface and is now helping hundreds of people in those communities’ live healthier, safer lives.
