Fundraise

fundraise

Do you want to help save hundreds of lives? Awesome! That’s exactly what we want to do too. There are many ways that you can get involved and help provide clean water to millions around the world. One way is through fundraising! Either individually or as a group, you can organize your own events or activities to raise money for charity.

Fundraising is a great way to get a group of people, perhaps your school or work, to come together and organize fun activities to make a difference to the world. We’ve got a page full of resources that can allow you to organize your own fundraiser days.

Have a look at some of the possible activities below! Scroll down to see how you can send you money to us if you organize a fundraiser.

Dress Down Day

If you go to a school where you have to wear auniform, then why not speak to your teachers and try and organize adress down day! If everyone pays £1 to wear their normal clothes, youcould make loads of money.

Bake Sale

Who doesn’t love a good cupcake? You can save people’s lives just by selling a few cookies or cakes! If a group of people donate lots of delicious baked goods, then you could sell them and donate all the money to charity!

Raffle

Have a look around and see if there are any good prizes you could give away. Perhaps local businesses could donate their products or individuals could donate a prize. If you collect enough, then you can go sell raffle tickets and use the money to bring clean water to hundreds of people!

Car Boot Sale

Well, you don’t actually need a car boot. Basically, you can go around your friends and family collecting their unwanted items and then sell them all to raise money! Perhaps after Christmas, when people have old things to get rid of, you could use them and help save lives.

Dating Auction

Perhaps for the college/university students or grown ups, but maybe you could have an auction of people where the highest bidder gets to go on a date with the volunteer. Get any of your single friends, guys or girls to volunteer and they could end up on a date with the love of their lives.

Car Wash

A group of volunteers can spend the day doing car washes and all the money raised could go to charity! It’s a fun way to spend time with friends, and would be even more exciting if perhaps teachers got involved too. (It’s not often you’d get to splash your teacher with a bucket of water)

Christmas Carols

A traditional fundraising method is to go around singing traditional Christmas carols and collecting money during the festive period. (Although you might want to make sure you’ve got no howlers in the group)

Guessing Games

Usually it is a jar of sweets, but it could be anything you like. Essentially, you fill a container up with something and people have to guess how many is inside, the person who is closest wins the contents. They could pay a small fee to guess, and the money goes to charity. (It might be a good idea to make the contents of the jar something nice; people probably wouldn’t pay to guess for a jar of Brussel sprouts.)

Karaoke Night

Get your friends and family up for a singsong, but only if they pay a fee to charity! It’ll certainly be an exciting and hilarious event that can hopefully make lots of money for those who are unfortunate.

Concert/Talent Show

This could be a big one to organize, but if you know some musicians, then why not put on a concert or talent show. Speak to local companies for some sponsorship or other schools for competitors, and then advertise for an audience and all the money from the tickets goes to charity.

Carnival/Festival

If you really want to make money and have a good time, then why not put on a carnival? If you can get some sponsorship, then speak to companies and hire some big inflatables, bouncy castles, slides, and all sorts of fun activities and charge each time a guest uses it! It’s a massive event to organize but could make a load of money, and is a lot of fun too.

How to send our money?
